Lady Freedom Circle
A Community Circle of Trust
The Lady of Freedom statue that stands atop the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. is the symbol of World Peace and Freedom. She stands at the intersection between the old order and the New Earth invoking the Universal Mother Spirit in human form. The essence of Lady of Freedom has the ability to unite all people, the land, the country – and by extension – the world and the cosmos.
The Lady Freedom Circle is a gathering of individuals who have chosen to encircle the Statue of Freedom and make relationship with the Spirit of America, which we consider the principle of Freedom itself. In these times of great change, we are calling out for high vision to help us create a brighter and more compassionate world for our children and all future generations.
Women need vision now more than ever. The women are building the center energetically. When our center is strong and deep, men will be invited in. Their protective force and strength of heart will be welcomed soon.
We meet regularly and do a meditative Somatic Sound Journey every two months to the Heart of Lady Freedom. Please use the contact form below if you are interested in learning more. Over the last two years, we have had the honor to be in conversation with the Haudenosaunee women - Keepers of Original Democracy, and during that time, we were by invitation only. We are now open to the public and we welcome you and your vision for America.

How I Found Lady Freedom
by Kris Farquhar
One fine summer day in Colorado 2005, I was called and hired to sing for a nearby friend and composer. I went to his home-studio to record the piece. I had heard a little of it and was excited for I knew I could sing freely with vocables. There were no words and no melody, just a chord structure, or rhythm track. It was beautiful. I went into the sound room and gave myself to the music.
During the recording, I had an experience. The next day, I went back to the composer and explained my vision. He called the song, Trail of Tears. You can hear it below.
In 2009, I moved to California and set up a home-recording studio of my own. Trail of Tears was my second project. The Florida Everglades - Endangered Land was my first in 2010. I was very happy to finally put visuals to the experience in Colorado.
As one can surmise, the experience I had in 2005 was with, The People. I was one of about 20-25 Indigenous people running down the long slope of a hill through fields trying to get to the forest to hide. There was snow and it was cold. There were women and children and elders. We tried holding each other up as we ran. It was difficult. That’s what I remembered.
But when I was about to add photographs to it in 2010 — I do Environmental Music Films — something shifted. The story expanded and the voice singing became that of a Universal Mother force or spirit that saw all her children, throughout all their lifetimes, struggling and in pain. She cried for them and she blamed herself as mothers often do. But then she settled inside and realized that she and they both had to find forgiveness, for it was the only way that life could prosper and move forward.
I didn’t know where the film would end when I started. That is part of my enjoyment when I create EMFs. It’s as if they create themselves in the moment. The journey of the Universal Mother’s face and names changed throughout the old world and new over time to finally and ultimately come upon a magnificent statue above the Capitol Building in Washington DC.
I had no idea who she was, and there was very little on the internet in regards to the Statue of Freedom. I did, however, find one short YouTube video that struck my heart! I wrote in the comment section, “We need to bring her alive!” And that’s when I found Katya Miller, a woman on a mission now for 30 years to bring The Lady of Freedom into recognition. I visited her in person in 2016, and we’ve been writing and laughing and learning together ever since.
