AstroAlchemy - Sun in Aries

​Sun moves into Aries March 20th and out of it and into Taurus April 20, 2024. We are now in Spring Equinox. 

Happy Birthday to all who have their Sun in Aries! How we so appreciate your energetic fire to get things going and moving forward. Without action in our world, nothing would get done. You are a gift, everyday. Teach us to be brave and “suck it up” when the going gets tough. The tricky part is remembering for all of us that for every action, there is an opposite and equal re-action…. 

Aries is the Eternal Flame - First Fire - The Resurrection of Life. First house on the Wheel of the Zodiac, it symbolizes beginnings rising from endings, sacrifice and disillusionment in Pisces, (12th house) the waters of mystery - Christ consciousness.

We have many deaths in one lifetime as we shift and change from the countless lessons that come to us to evolve our souls. Aries marks beginnings and endings for cycles large and small.

This first fire is full of joy and rushes forth to create life. Fire is symbolic of spirit, and because it is young and immature, mistakes are sometimes made. We all have Aries (and the planet Mars that rules Aries), in our charts. 

If that fire does not create into physical form SOMEthing, it can turn backward into thyself and cause dis-ease which can lead to sickness. For this reason, fire must always be directed. 

Mars, ruler of Aries, represents the male force moving outward in this world. Venus, ruler of Libra, symbolizes the feminine and the receptive quality moving inward. They are in opposition for at-one-ment. Their union creates life. They are the Lovers.

We are Co-creative beings who do well to create and inspire and aspire. Our health depends upon keeping “the fire” alive and we do best by working with it consciously.

Aries is the first house of experience in the zodiac. It’s that first leap of faith that comes to mind; that first inspirational thought that wants to move mountains, but then looses faith - extinguishes its own flame - after facing the actual challenges. Metaphorically stated, the fire-spirit of Aries needs the air-intellect of Libra to survive. Gender equality.

The interesting question to ask is, Does the air-mind need the fire-spirit to live? We are faced with the fact that our minds are more spirit-based than we realize. We need each other to survive as Spiritual beings, or who some have called, angelics.  

One can see why the balancing of Libra is Aries’ opposite reflection. Love must be cultivated in the youth today or wrong-action and harm to others can arise.

Aries is the courage to overcome all adversity and it is the aggression behind all acts of violence. Consciousness, no harm and compassion will lead us into a new and better world of experience.

In regards to Aries’ Triplicity, it is the First, Fire-Spirit constellation on the zodiac and is considered PRIMAL & INSTINCTUAL. Second, Fire-Spirit constellation is Leo: CONSCIOUS-AWAKENED & God-incarnate in man. Third Fire-Spirit constellation is Sagittarius: SUPER-CONSCIOUS-higher education, spiritual expansion.

The three Fire Constellations work with the three other elements, Earth, Air and Water and their Triplicities for wholeness. It is a living process of which we are the center-Sacred soul. 

Astrology is a map for understanding soul-growth. Once we know the map, it falls away like dross from gold.
